Omeka is a platform for creating collections of digital objects and combining text with audio-visual materials. It allows users to produce beautiful results with minimal technical knowledge required. Developed by the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media at George Mason University, Omeka describes itself as “a web publishing platform for sharing digital collections and creating media-rich online exhibits.”
