DribblingÂ
The two ways the basketball can move are players passing to the players on their teams or dribbling the ball themselves. It is illegal to dribble with both hands at the same time and doing so will cause a turnover. You always want to keep eyes on the court and not the ball.
Shooting
The objective of the game of basketball is the score more points than your opponent and you accomplish that by shooting the basketball. According to basketball experts, the right proper way to shoot is bring the ball to the proper release position, putting backspin on the ball and let the ball go with follow through.
Defense
As much as scoring is important, it is important to stop the other team from scoring as well. Stay between your man and the ball, clog the passing lanes and always have your hands up, sliding your feet.
Rebounding
Not every shot of your opponents is going in, unless you’re guarding Stephen Curry. While playing defense you have an advantage to get the rebounding because apart of playing defense is putting yourself in the position to rebound. Back your man down with your buttock, so you have inside position, grab the rebound with both hands to chest level.
Passing
Finding the open man on the court is key. Nobody on a basketball court moves faster than a good pass to an open teammate. Extra dribbling where the ball isn’t in constant movement can hinder your team’s chances on winning that specific games.
