I think my most memorable experience with procrastination was during finals week when I had to write two philosophy papers and waited until the night before to do them. It was the first time I stayed awake all night and I still was unable to finish. The next day I finished my paper a few minutes before class started and I was so exhausted and tired. Many of my friends told me I looked ‘dead.’ I kept falling asleep because I had not slept for almost two whole days and I was living on red bulls and sour cream and onion chips. I would fall asleep while writing my paper or just taking a quick two minute nap that would essentially turn out to me falling fast asleep. My eyes had really dark circles and I looked like I was super sick. That day I experienced first-hand procrastination at its finest and may I say.. I did NOT enjoy it. The feeling of being that tired was ridiculous and I just wanted to cut all my classes, go home, and sleep. That was probably most memorable to me because I never thought I could fall asleep while standing on the train or while even typing up my essay. The amount of times my head fell that day was insane. I am not going to say that I will not procrastinate ever again, but I will say I will most definitely not wait until the day before to do an assignment that is worth a lot of my grade.
