Although Congress has passed many laws that legally prohibit workplace discrimination, not much has changed in respect to the (wage) gap between the sexes. For this same reason, it is highly likely that passing more laws wouldn’t create much change. However, based on research collected, there are a couple of things that can be done to improve wage gap’s in the U.S.
-Despite similar levels of education and experience, USNEWS research report suggests that implementing policies such as paid family leave and flexible work schedules can help increase participation and experience over time. “Such policies are beneficial for the economy as they lead to higher labor force participation, greater labor productivity and work engagement, and better allocation of talent across the economy.”
