Doors and Duplicates

Doing something with a unreal feel is easy to conceive but harder to realize. I went in with a clear concept of what I wanted to do, using duplicates to collage together a interesting video with a straight forward narrative. However, while filming I had a lot of shots going through doorways, this gave me a new idea. I wanted to make each doorway go into a different location than what is desired. I really wanted to put in the play on each door you enter you’re duplicating yourself. That the end result of this duplicate is just running endlessly while the “original” continues with daily life. With this in mind I wanted to show how this creates a web effect, each duplicate will go through doors as well, creating a massive multiverse, and once in a while you run into these, or as they say “experience a glitch in the matrix”. It was extremely fun to film even thought there were hiccups.
