Final Project Statement – James Matsis

The harmful seems harmless when in a controlled structure or environment.  We sometimes take this safety for granted and neglect its potential devastation.  Video clips show basic elements on our planet in both a controlled and uncontrolled form.  Background audio is a speech by the first Indian Prime minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru where he explains the harm caused by a supposed “controlled” testing of nuclear bombs and how countries’ potential to escalate into nuclear war threatens humanity.  Both the audio and video portray different forms of how supposed controlled elements can suddenly be uncontrolled.
