An exceptional soccer goalie, while also being able to maintain her straight A grades, the 13-year-old little girl, Hailee Lamberth was diagnosed with Epilepsy. The students in her school teased and mocked her seizures in addition to sending her messages telling her to kill herself. After weeks of bullying, Hailee could not live with the harassments any further and unfortunately committed suicide. This incident is an example of a lack of action by several students and faculty towards the bullying that was being reported. This is an act of both, direct and indirect violence because even though she was not being physically abused, she was being tormented emotionally, causing the unfortunate results. If people of all ages were more aware of these types of events in their communities, then less incidents of this magnitude would occur. This ties back to our theme of Violence being portrayed through not only direct forms, but through indirect ways as well.
