This article touches on the idea of alteration within writing caused by the introduction of technology. The argument presented is that the advancement in technology does not change how stories are conceived or constructed. It mentions that plots involving characters being lost in an area or walking right past someone significant without realizing would now seem unrealistic due to modern day technology. There will always be a simple solution to such plots if, say, phones are available in the story. Although those plots may seem invalid in todays writings because of technology, it does not change the authors priorities, which are to create compelling characters and interesting plots.
