According to Wikipedia, “Tomaselli sees his paintings and their compendium of data as windows into a surreal, hallucinatory universe.” He once said of his work, “It is my ultimate aim to seduce and transport the viewer in to space of these pictures while simultaneously revealing the mechanics of that seduction.”

I don’t know why, but some of the first lines are cut off?
It is interesting though. Very abstract… It shows the many aspects, stories, and thoughts that is Gravity’s Rainbow.

Hmm, I’m not sure why that is, I tried fixing it a few times, but all your missing is the ending of “synthetic,” go figure.

I like this painting. Like someone else said earlier in class today, I too feel it represents a web. A web would be, at least to me, a perfect comparison for Gravity’s Rainbow.
In the book, much like a web you get tangled in all it’s intricacies and small details to the point where you get overwhelmed and don’t see many of them. In fact you get so overwhelmed you just it as a whole (just like this painting being seen as a web even though it is composed of many small parts).
And just like the book this painting makes you feel as if you are trapped within it’s mess in a lost state, with no way to get out or fully understand it’s purpose.
Perhaps at some point I will all see the beauty behind Gravity’s Rainbow as I am able to see in this painting?
