Why Finance?

All started with big event to choose to study Finance at Baruch College. First of all, I was born in Brazil, and I moved to Japan since I was 3 years old. I grew up with my Brazilian family in Japan, and my father and mother were not good at speaking and reading Japanese. However, my parents have a good job with nice salary to sustain a family. Eventually, my father made a loan to buy a house in Japan. We were happy to be able to make a loan to buy a house.

However, my father later struggled to pay the loan since 2008 because of a global financial crisis, and my father’s salary had decreased at that times.  Therefore, my father tried to find a way to save money to survive from the global financial crisis. Eventually, my father found that he is paying a higher interest rate on his loan. So, my father came to me and asked to make a new financial plan. In the first place, I did not think that just by changing finance loan will make a big difference to saving money. Nonetheless, I did what my father ask me to do.

At first, I did a lot of research about housing loans on the internet. and I study financial planning to reduce the interest rate. Eventually, I knew how to reduce the interest rate. Moreover, I knew that my father was paying too much money for interest. So, I went to the bank with my father to make a new housing loan which is the lowest-interest rate. Successfully, we could make a new loan which is the lowest-interest rate. Just by changing the loan, we could save about 9000 dollars per year. To be frank, I was shocked to know that just by changing financial plan can make a big difference.

In conclusion, I decided to be a financial planner after knowing I could help other people who suffer from the financial problem same as my father was. And I would take just 1000 dollars for fees. So, I started to look for the best university to be a financial planner. I took two years looking for the university, and I finally found that Baruch College is the best college to study Finance with highest education and the lowest tuition in New York City. After 3 years, I was successfully accepted to Baruch College, and I am studying Finance with my full strength. I love to study Finance, and I will be a Financial planner after I graduate from Baruch College and I want to help people who need me.  And that is my reason to study finance.
