Nicholas Sparks tops bestseller lists with new book release
- On Sept. 29, Nicholas Sparks’ released his newest novel, The Return, published by Grand Central Publishing, a division of Hachette Book Group. This week, The Return debuted on the top of both USA Today and The New York Times’ bestseller lists.
The Frankfurt Buchmesse (Book Fair) goes virtual in 2020
- Due to Covid-19, the Frankfurt Book Fair is going remote this year. Check out all the latest in global publishing this year through Frankfurt’s trade virtual talks, book readings, seminars and other events from now through Oct. 18.
Fox News Media launches new imprint with HarperCollins Publishers
- Fox News Media and HarperCollins Publishers are partnering to release titles under a new imprint, Fox News Books. Fox News Books launches on Nov. 24 with its first of three releases, Modern Warriors: Real Stories from Real Heroes by Fox News Media personality Pete Hegseth.
Penguin Random House and PEN America team-up to provide voting information
- Penguin Random House is collaborating with PEN America, non-profit organization When We All Vote and PRH-owned literary retailer Out of Print to “book the vote.” “Book the Vote” is an online initiative that will provide information regarding the electoral system, voting registration and civic topics on a website.
Neil Gaiman speaks about adapting his Sandman comic series to Audible
- After Audible adapted one of his Sandman comics this summer, Neil Gaiman says he intends to make all of his Sandman comics accessible on the platform for those who are “comic impaired.”
Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, Margaret Atwood & other writers pen open letter in support of trans and non-binary people
- Many prominent writers of the “US literary community” came together to declare support for trans and non-binary people through an open letter. Some speculate the letter is a response to a previously-published letter in support of controversial author JK Rowling.
