During these semester-long pedagogy seminars, English department faculty read and discuss writing and/or applied linguistics scholarly literature, and consider its pedagogical implications for our teaching and student learning in classes. The seminar will meet weekly in-person from 12 to 1 pm in the English Conference Room.
Seminar Goals
- Build a learning community among colleagues centered around interest in pedagogy
- Contribute towards enhancing Baruch’s profile as a high-impact teaching and learning institution
- Familiarize participants with relevant, foundational, and up-to-date research on pedagogy
- Exchange feedback, resources and expertise to enhance the quality of pedagogical materials
