David Hockney
Juergen Teller
He is a German fine art and fashion photographer whose work is very avant-garde and bright, and Juergen Teller captures the portraits very well, primarily through the people’s body language in the photographs. But for art, I would probably consider these photos to be nudes rather than pictures with an artistic appreciation. The figures in the paintings are mixed with other elements that prevent me from seeing the art in the photographs. This perhaps the connection between fashion and art still needs more time.
Andy Warhol
He is an American artist, painter, and photographer; his work is visible as a person and as his work itself. Andy Warhol’s portrait series shows that he is influenced by pop culture and art history; I am struck by the fact that his work is rich in art from different periods. His use of color is very personal, and the distribution of color in the portraits is not static, while the details of the figures are exact. He is minimalistic about art, with no detailed designs, just excellent and straightforward depictions.
