Summary
Writing is something that I enjoy doing alone when I have free time, I even had a separate Instagram account to post my writing pieces, but these pieces are all in Chinese. When it comes to writing in English, I am not as confident in expressing my ideas in Chinese because of my grammar and vocabulary. Without a doubt, I have learned and improved a lot from last semester’s 2100T course, especially with revision chances given for almost every piece of writing. For this semester I am not only looking forward to learning even more about grammar, but to conveying my ideas and opinions through writing more concisely. My sentences are often too convoluted for others to understand; sometimes, I could not even understand myself reading back to my writings.
Last semester, we did a final project on a research paper and several other writings which I do not know which form of writing they belong. Nevertheless, I enjoyed all of them. I would consider the research paper my favorite because I am actually proving my topic with supportive information, I do not write research papers outside of “assignment requirement” or in my spare time, but after that course, I am actually quite interested in finding a new topic for research and write another paper.
