Graphic design was also called communication design. It appears around us and close to people’s life. Graphic design is used to the postage stamp, newspaper, magazine, and so on. Every visual thing around people can be design. Graphic design has long history. Books and magazines design are developing all the time. They are just two part of graphic design. Graphic design is changed that depends on the readers and users need. So the graphic design not only art, but also function. There also are different job titles for the designers. Depending on the different tiles, designers do different works. So the graphic design is a functional art in people’s life. It is used to our life everywhere. Graphic design let people enjoy the life. When people open their favorites magazines, they can enjoy the visual aesthetic. When people go to shopping, they can easily to attract by poster, advertisements, packages, even on the flyers.
How to get the balance between the art and the function in the graphic design? Graphic design is used in the business most of time. Attract customers eyes on the goods are designers’ purpose. I think the experience very important for a designer. An expert can easily get what the customers want. They can express their ideas in their design and let users learn from their design. The customers learn and enjoy designers’ art works, then this is a successful one.
