I read the article “Fall Football- or the fall of football”. The article is about the discriminatory hiring practice among coaches in the NFL. The argument is that only 4 out of 32 (12.5%) head coaches in the NFL are black or brown. Lori Lizarraga, Gene Demby, and retired cornerback, Domonique Foxworth spoke on this matter in the article. They believe that it is unfair that most of the head coaches are white and they feel like coaches of color aren’t given enough opportunities in the league. I believe that most organizations hire coaches based of credibility and reputation. If they are the right fit for the role, it doesn’t matter what race they are. It is the same with players, the NFL is 70% colored and 30% white. This doesn’t have anything to do with race but who has the most talent and skill. They brought up the topic fairly but I didn’t change my views after listening to their discussion.

This is definitely an interesting article and I agree with you. This seems like a stretch of an argument to include race in something that doesn’t need to be mentioned. since like you said 70% of the NFL are colored people and 30% are white.
