Memorial Memory

The memorial that I chose was the Duomo Cathedral in Milan. It was my second time visiting Italy but I hadn’t been to Milan the time prior so when I came and saw the Duomo, I was genuinely in awe of how beautiful it was. I thought the pictures I’ve seen of it did not do justice to how incredible it actually looked in person. The area around it also looked beautiful. There were people playing different musical instruments and dancing. My family and I were taking pictures, walking around, and smiling. I really tried to soak in the moments when I was there and it’s definitely something I’ll remember for years to come.

I think the shape of it was very nice and although I didn’t go inside the cathedral, I saw pictures of what it looked like from inside and the top and the views were stunning. It had a very unique shape to it and you can tell there was a lot of work put into it to make it look so beautiful.

  1. I’m jealous because this is such an honor to even witness in Milan Italy, I love that it’s been a core memory for you for those reasons. Ultimately I think it kind of connects to you how you are as a person.
