Memorial Memory

One memorial that I’ve visited that was extremely memorable was my cousin’s grave. The reason this memorial was extremely important and stayed with me is because of the fact that it is something that is constantly in my mind. It is memorable, because I can remember my cousin’s grave without me having to see it because of the fact that I know that he was my cousin, and he passed away at a pretty young age. Honestly, I wouldn’t say the grave itself is what makes it memorable, but the fact that it was my cousin that is in the grave.

I visited the grave about two or three years ago in Australia, and he passed away from a car accident. It is pretty memorable because of the events leading up to seeing the grave which were seeing my mom cry and also me trying to remember the times I spent with him. So I would say, it’s not the memorials itself but it is the people and the impact it has on other people that makes the memorial memorable.
