What Thanksgiving Means To Me

For me, Thanksgiving is more than just having turkey for dinner; it’s the day I was born, making it a double holiday. When I was little, we used to joke around that the family was only grateful for me because I was born and their lives were boring without me. Now, we are each individually grateful for many things. Thanksgiving is a day of gratitude and reflection. We express gratitude for all that we have and reflect on our past year to see what we liked and disliked. Each of us has our own lives and things to be grateful for. Usually, when people get what they want, they immediately become happy without realizing to thank the person they received it from. Gratitude is something I have been working on as a person, which is a huge factor in why this past Thanksgiving meant a lot to me.
