Memorial Memory

A memorial I have a personal connection with is my local park that is part of the elementary school I went to. I’ve spent my entire childhood playing and hanging out in that park and made a lot of memories. In the playground I would always meet a group of friends and start playing with them until it was time for me to go. I would also play soccer in the field and volleyball in the summer, and I would usually spend most of my time there as a kid. I would remember the good hiding spots when I would play hide and seek with others. I would always race other kids in the field to see who runs the fastest. As I got older, it would be more of hangout place, as I met other people are part of my neighborhood and school. Even though they’ve taken down the playground and field, they’re working on making a better hangout spot. But I’ll always have good memories in that park.

  1. I can definitely relate to having a hang out spot with friends, for me when I was younger, it was the park next to my old school. While it is sad that often times it doesn’t feel the same as when we were kids, it does bring a sense of nostalgia.

  2. I also had a park right next to my elementary school and me and my my friends would always go there afterschool. I had made a lot of memories and connections there with so many people
