I love celebrating Thanksgiving and being given the extra opportunity to spend time with my family. This holiday does make me feel grateful for everything I have and the experiences that have created who I am today. I do believe that this article captures a well-rounded amount of opinions on Thanksgiving because not everyone feels the same way about it. I do relate to the stories in this article especially the one about connecting and pausing the attachment to electronics. In my family we are not allowed to be on our phones during our get-together, or the punishment is buying ice cream for everyone, and it’s like 30 of us. I think it is important to keep in mind the stories about seeing Thanksgiving as something not the best so we can become more open-minded and realize it doesn’t feel the same for everyone.

In my family, Thanksgiving is important for us to be thankful for what and who we have. we all contribute to Thanksgiving dinner and always have a big feast at my aunt’s house. when I was younger it was more about just eating a lot to stuff myself, but now that I’m older I actually appreciate how I spend it. I hope that I will always continue spending Thanksgiving with my big family. In the future, I hope I can mix my two families so we can all spend it together.
