In senior year, I went on a school trip to Washington D.C where I saw countless monuments and memorials. The most memorable memorial I visited would have to be the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The memorial was most memorable to me because of the personal connection that it has with my life and identity. Furthermore, the design of the memorial was far different than any other memorial I’ve ever seen. It is a wall shaped in the letter V where it lists the names of veterans who served during the Vietnam War. The emotional and powerful experience made it memorable for me as I’ve never been able to connect or had relations to other memorials, which made it a personal connection to me.

I am so glad you had such a personal connection with this place. Looks like a very beautiful place to visit.
I have been to Washington D.C but I did not get a chance to visit the Vietnam Veterans memorial, i am looking forward to visiting this monument my next visit!
