Thanksgiving never really meant much to me. I always just saw it as another family gathering where we all get to eat and enjoy some food. I’ve always been thankful but I just didn’t know it yet. As I’ve grown up, I started to appreciate the importance of family and the time that we spend together. I’ve learned to be more grateful to have the food that we share on Thanksgiving as well as the people that I spend it with. It’s a day where everyone is off from work and school, off their phones, and where we are all together enjoying our time and eating a bunch of food.

I also did not value the words of gratitude that I heard when I was younger and as I got older I started to appreciate those words a lot more.
I think the amount of character development you have grown to show is awesome. As a child we aren’t really thinking too much of the reason for things.
The nature of growing older opens your eyes to many new perspectives and gives traditions such as Thanksgiving new meaning.
Being grateful is very important, it is the whole point of thanksgiving.
