Summary- In the essay it talks about a man named Issac Asimov who was known to be very intelligent. he always received very high scores on any exam that he took. The man may have been very smart, but he didn’t have high ranking in society so his intelligence didn’t really matter where he worked. He was always in fear that other people may not consider him to be very smart until the day his repair man asked him a logical joke. Issac didn’t get the answer correct to the joke, and so he felt uneasy that his repair man knew he wasn’t as smart as he thought he was. The definition of intelligence in my words-I feel that definition of the word intelligence can mean many things depending on the situation/topic. for example in an academic setting you would be considered intelligent if you had a high GPA or your book smart and have a good sense of memory for everything you’ve been taught. a discussion on intelligence which states “mental quality that consists of the abilities to learn from experience, adapt to new situations, understand and handle abstract concepts, and use knowledge to manipulate one’s environment. This compares to Issac Asimov because he pretty much thought the same thing when it came to himself on intelligence. My strengths, interests, and talentsone of my strengths is that I am able to maintain somewhat of having a peaceful life with 3 younger brothers, I don’t give up on the first try. I continue on and on and on. some of my interests are dancing, reading, listening to music, watching YouTube/Netflix. A talent of mine is that I can watch an entire drama in one sitting.
my intelligence scores- the score that I received on the survey were pretty accurate on the way how I do things in my daily life or how I like to learn things. My top intelligence types were Musical, intrapersonal, and visual/spatial. for each top choice of mine, it stated that I have different ways of learning and they are more visual and keep me entertained stating that I enjoy more of hands-on learning than reading a textbook or something. I think my intelligence types compare to my strengths, interests and talents by showing that I like entertainment and I like moving around. pretty much keeping myself busy. Burt if I’m restricted from doing that, then I can’t learn properly because I have to learn things this way and that way which I simply cannot do.
I agree with your definition of intelligence. A persons intelligence is based on their situation and what they do in life. I believe that not everyones intelligence can be compared as not everyone is the same. Everyone has their talents and skills, which can impact their intelligence and knowledge.
