Proposal

For project 3, I will be working by myself and doing a slideshow based on comparing the Black Panther Party to the Black Lives Matter Movement. I plan to make the slideshow like a biography but on a slideshow with images and symbols. I will first tell a summary of the BLM and BPP then add on. I will show the use of social media as political tool and biography of specific people within the movement. This project aims to dive deep into the origins and context of the movements to explain them in detail and identify additional resources that could further clarify their significance.

The goal is to offer a comprehensive understanding that encompasses historical background, key events, and relevant figures, as well as other perspectives that enrich the differences. I will show how the BPP focused on community-based programs like free breakfast for children and health clinics, aiming to empower Black communities through direct action. BLM, on the other hand, has leveraged social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook to mobilize support, organize protests, and raise awareness about police violence and systemic racism. I am going to use images + symbols to visual it out.
