Project 3 Written Reflection

Reflecting on my journey as a writer from the first week’s assignment to now reveals several significant developments and realizations. This self-assessment highlights the growth I’ve experienced, the unexpected directions my writing has taken, and the broader impact on my work in other subjects. I would say I have grown as a writer. This was my favorite project out of the other I have done. I felt like I was in the zone doing this google slide. It was very fun doing it in a google slide and it felt like I was writing a book. There was not much that was challenging for this project. Doing this slide show is helpful to reach people who aren’t very educated about Black history.

I did a slideshow format for my presentation about  Black Lives Matter (BLM) vs the Black Panther Party (BPP), as it allows images and texts to show the importance. The goal is to offer a comprehensive understanding that encompasses historical background, key events, and relevant figures, as well as other perspectives that enrich the differences. I show how the BPP focused on community-based programs like free breakfast for children and health clinics, aiming to empower Black communities through direct action. BLM, on the other hand, has leveraged social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook to mobilize support, organize protests, and raise awareness about police violence and systemic racism. Presentations allow for real-time interaction with my audience that is why i did it over a video.
