The organization I choose is Doctors Without Borders They are an organization that focus on giving medical assistant to either those who can not afford it or the people who are not provided with. People can often help this organization by either donating their research center or by volunteering to travel around the world. 

Design Approach 

My target audience will be late twenty to late thirty year old graduate medical students. They can all be from different fields within the medical field like; dentist, pediatrician, physician, etc). Meaning people who would like this bag are curious on the possibility to travel and helping the ones in need. 

Idea Process
I first began by having multiple designs based on traveling around the world with images that will show doctors and how they help in them. I did three designs with the same concept but different arrangements of the images. Clearly I realize that was not working because instead of promoting medical assistant I most likely was promoting traveling to other countries. 

As I though more of the concept I realize that doctors are often regonize for because of their uniform, so I though why not duplicate their uniform and since they always carry the professional black luggage why not use that as the handle.

I created a prototype for both ideas the traveling around the world and the doctors uniform. It ends in that people understood better the concept of Doctors Without Borders with the doctors uniform bag idea. Of course there were a few things that needed to be clean up, like the relationship between the front and back.

My design is a two color model based on black and orange. I choose orange because it represents calmness and clean. I began by creating a bleed all over my document, once that was done I created a new logo based on the same color mode as my bag design will be. I started by designing the color of the Doctor a brief outline of their uniform. Then I got into more detail and Design the pockets with pens sticking out of them to make it more realistic. I also place the logo in a small version that fit exactly on the pocket size. Then I place buttons all over the middle to give the illusion that is a close uniform. I put orange around the collar of the neck at the top of the bag giving a continuous balance from the front to the back. 

I later on focus on creating a stethoscope which is the tool they use to hear the patients hearth beat. I design it so that the ear section and middle part of the circle at the end of the stethoscope will be orange to have balance and look more attractive, the rest will be black so that it can look sharp and pop out more in the bag. I also, kept a continuation between the from and back by having the stethoscope continue to the back and back to the front as if it's the way the doctor is wearing it. 

I decided to keep my bag based color white since its doctors everything should look clean. I added orange color on the sides and bottom and place catchy phases like ( Joing Us and Help the Cause) and I also place their website for any further questions the audience may have.

For the inside I decided to fill it with gauze, cotton and little cards that say "save a life" and a continent with the option name and date. This will be to give them and idea where can they travel and to give them option for them to choose the date. I put cotton at the bottom of the bag then the mini cards in the middle and the gauze all around the bag sticking out with some stretch sides more than others. 
Last but not least I use leather handles for the bag to give the illusion of the actual bag doctors use and it would have support so it won't break. Then I created a tag that will hang I a small strip of white string attach to the handle that have catchy phases at the front and information of the organization in the inside. 

I have learn that we must be very careful at cutting to get perfect edges and that many prototypes should be done on regular paper before the final one. I also learn that you can start with twenty ideas but only a few will be successful enough to be made.
