3d printed toy rockets

I want to learn more about the future of 3d printing on the toy industry. I am interested in researching how 3d printing will affect the toy industry and what changes the new technology will bring about. I care about this topic because I believe toy design is incredibly interesting and find it amazing that with 3d printing, lay people can become designers.

The deliverable I plan to make may be a 3d printed toy, powerpoint or instructable. My first option is to design and print a toy. I believe the toy will be geared toward the pre-K or elementary school aged child as they are the most likely to play with toys.
