Studio Exercise 1

Children Playground

At first, I thought about designing a bottle opener, but then I thought about making the design bigger and thought about making a children playground. The bottle opener was the blue and the yellow blocks by themselves. But then I added the cubes to make a fence and it became a children playground. I used the cube, half cylinder, rectangle, and arch models from the warehouse to design this playground. The first step was the yellow blocks and the blue ones then I used the cubes to define the path of the fence. Challenges were mainly in positioning the blocks. This was the most challenging thing, which is to determine on which axis I am in. It is like working in Space. At first it was very difficult. Also along the same philosophy of the third axis (z), the rotating tool was kind of challenging also. I have learned something good and useful. I think the most important advice, is PRACTICE.

The cube I have designed first was 1 1/8″ x 1/8″ x 1/8″
