I interest in 3d printing fashion. I feel like it is fascinating to see clothes print out from a printer. Since a lot of shoes are plastic nowadays. If it is 3d printable everyone can have unique shoes. 3d printing products will get more popular and more will be created over time.

I had been reading a lot of articles about 3d printing clothes. They look amazing! They are stylish and they look comfortable. They really do look like things people will wear.

First, amazing one that I read about was “Making Clothes at Home Using 3D Clothing Printer.”  Joshua Harris was the maker of this printer. It looks like the paper towel roller in the bathroom, but it can make clothes! It can save spaces in the room and make it easier to buy clothes online. People can just download the clothing from marketplace and print them out by using cartridges and fabric material. It also saves money on doing lapidary. One can just put the cloth in the printer and let it breakdown the fabric material and let it remake by selecting the style. It is amazing design. It changes the way designers create. It is not out yet. It might come out before 2050. They predict there will be 75% of people using this printer. I wonder if fashion designers will feel uncomfortable using it. There might be a lot of people rejecting this high technology creation.

Another article that I read about it is 3d printed clothes fashion show. Right now those see through clothes or net or lace tops is very popular. Additionally, 3d printer can create such an affect easily. The clothes look amazing! They look like something hand make and something you will often see on the catwalk stage. This article talks about the Paris 3d printing fashion week. Paris fashion week has always been a huge event in the fashion world. Everyone knows it. People can easily get inspire in the event. Moreover, they have 3d printing clothes on the stage from 2010 until now it is just proves that 3d printing can go main stream. I wish I can see them with my own eyes. I should go to more 3d printing events more just to know more about this technique. Maybe in the future I can create my own designs with it.

Here is a star wearing the 3d printed cloth. The title is “Dita Von Teese’s 3D Dress Was Made on a Printer”, it provide a lot of photos of the celebrity wearing the cloth. It looks fit on her and very stylish. It is definitely a dress that can be worn on the red carpet. It was created by architect Francis Bitonti and designer Michael Schmidt. In the article it states that it looks super cool but it is super uncomfortable to sit on. Now I have a doubt on is it going to be the same most of the 3d printed clothes? They only look good but very uncomfortable to wear on. Base on my knowledge plastic materials can be comfortable. There are some shoes are very comfortable.

The professors talked about 3d printing bra during the class. I check on it right after I heard it. I wanted to know how soft the plastic can be. The way they design the material is so smart. I wonder how they came up with the whole idea. The bikini set has an affordable price and it is made out of high quality nylon. It definitely it is waterproof. I am just wondering is it able to cover out skin and will it slips away easily when we swim. It does not look tie on the model. There is also a video on the web page. It shows how comfortable the material they used for the bikini can be. They also put the set on a model. It actually looks really good on the model.

Therefore, the 2050 invention had its market. The assumption they had might come true. A lot of people actually are very interest in 3d printed clothes. There is 3d printed clothes fashion week and celebrities are wearing them. More people will be knowledgeable with the technology. Eventually, 3d clothing printers will become more and more popular. Then people will accept the fact that people can print their clothes out without waiting for the shipping. It does not require water to clean clothes. Fabrics will clean in the machine automatically after it break down the fabrics. No waste will be created too. I am so looking forward to different 3d printing related products out to the market in the future.
