Multimedia Reporting: Around New York

Here is an interesting video report from Brooklyn by my friends, Reem and Stephen. I’m hoping to get Reem into the classroom this semester to work with you on your edits. VIDEO

Some of you need extra time for editing so I am proposing two lab sessions this week outside of class.

1. WEDNESDAY, FEB. 26 — 5:30-7pm

2. THURSDAY, FEB. 27 — 12:30-2pm

When doing multimedia reporting, you must always look for the angle that allows you to highlight human emotion, bringing the story to life. Here is a video done many years ago by videographer Travis Fox when he was still at the Washington Post. It is a good example of a simple, powerful video story:
