  1. An outstanding timeline—well done! Just a minor point of clarification, there were no railroads created between 1803 and 1815 (let alone a transcontinental RR) because steam locomotives were still in their infancy—the first successful tracks were laid in Britain in the 1810s but did not become viable until the 1830s.
