Even though anime is from Japan but with the advance in technology, there’re subtitles and audio translation for any language possible. Thus, people can watch Dragon ball on TV, laptop, social media, and even manga(comic) book. Anime is becoming more and more international and it’s meaningful to everyone disregarding of the language differences.
One interesting thing about japanese anime is that even though viewers cannot understand japanese, they still tend to watch anime in japanese audio with translated subtitle because voice actor is one of the highlight of japanese anime. If you watch it with translated audio, most people agree that it will sound weird or unattractive. Thus, watching a japanese anime it’s like experiencing japanese culture as a foreigner.
Everyone has a different understanding of the characters and belief in the anime, but one thing remains unchanged worldwide, it’s the familiarity with the anime world. Anime watchers feel that they belong to the anime community across culture and languages. I think anime it’s somehow like music, no matter what race or ethnicity you belong to, language you speak, you’ll understand and like anime if you find the right genre for you.
