Going Vegan, if Only for a Day
Becoming a full time vegan is tough work, but being a part time vegan is realistic for most New Yorkers and very beneficial to your health. This diet promotes eating minimally processed plant protein. Doing this is cannot only be beneficial to your own health, but beneficial to the environment, and the welfare of animals. There are many options for vegan meals, but that doesn’t mean all of them are healthy. There are such things as unhealthy vegans, who only indulge in processed pasta and grains as their main staple. Lesson learned- take advantage of farmers markets and eat more vegetables!
