Personal-Reflection

In 3D design class, I’ve learned a lot in using SketchUp. SketchUp has so many tools that seems complicated. I have learned how to use the orbit tool the most because I am constantly using that tool. I think the orbit tool is one of the main tools you have to use in SketchUp. The orbit tool allows you to see every aspect and view of an object. It is quite interesting because when I first started using SketchUp, I always used the orbit tool last just to see the final product. Almost 99% of the time, my object would be distorted and not fully connected. Using SketchUp is pretty fun and it requires a lot of time because every time I create ‘one’ simple object, I always end up taking more than an hour to complete the perfect object.  The Follow Me tool is also a hard tool to use because whenever I want to create a sphere, my circles would become distorted. When I made the vase, it was extremely hard for me to draw the side of the vase and then use the Follow Me tool to make a perfect vase. However, with many attempts, I finally made the perfect vase. I found out that no matter how hard the task is, I will eventually learn and master creating a perfect object. I just have to keep on practicing. Once I’ve mastered how to make objects, I will move on to creating new unique objects instead of simple objects.
