The IResearchNet published an article on the dualistic model of passion and the two kinds of passion they are in correlation to having an effect towards an athletes experience. The purpose of this article is to create a better understanding of an athlete's passion and the various outcomes that play a role in affecting their experience. This is written for an audience of athletes who can be more informed on the intensity passion can have during an athlete's experience, the article was very well organized and mainly focused on each specific aspect throughout the piece. The purpose of this article is to get a small grasp of the difference between having both passion and purpose not always being correlated with your sport. The relevance this article provides is to give an establishment that not all athletes play their sport for both of the aspects but some play because one overweighs the other in their situation. This is written for an audience of student athletes who may not understand the importance both factors can have on your motivation. The weaknesses this piece holds is the information being touched upon briefly and not given too much detail on how athletes may struggle with not realizing the effect both aspects can have on their maximum potential.

In this document Gaspari Nutrition briefly touches upon three theories about motivation that help you understand the desire the sport can uplift within you but the theory that was most useful to my research topic was the Taylor’s theory of scientific management. The purpose of this article is to apply the taylor’s theory of scientific management logic in a sports setting, explaining the prompt as a person who will always be motivated by ensuring a successful outcome. The relevance this has with my research topic is creating an image for the readers who may not understand the thrive a sport brings out in an athlete to reach a successful result. The weaknesses this article has are that it isn’t as informative and doesn’t provide statistical evidence for our readers.

The relevance this has with my research topic is expressing the mental exhaustion these student athletes have to experience in order to get where to their end goal. This is written for an audience who don’t know how the mental portion of the sport can affect your long term goal and create a burnout within themselves along the way.
