The ancient Chinese literature is really extensive and profound. After all China has a really long history and certainly there were a lot of tales to tell, a lot of songs worth singing.

Today I’m going to introduce the Classical Tales of Song dynasty. Well, not only song dynasty, the classical tales has a really profound history throughout centuries.

There were a lot of authors that were really famous that so many people learn from them and read their tales. Actually in China there is special word of those tales authors not just authors. But I’ve searched a lot of website but i just can’t find the exact word for that. But anyway, like I said there were some people from difference dynasties that were really famous and people from nowadays still remembers them but most of them started from song dynasty. This is different from Tang poetry but it’s kind of like the evolving version of Tang poetry. Those people are really well known in China such as, Su Shi, An Shu, Li Qingzhao, Liu Yong. They were really talented and their tales are still been sang today.

There was something that happened to most of those people that they were all sick of the way of living in their live and they didn’t want to live like that. Some of them were in really high position in government but in the end most of them got set up and became normal person. That’s also the reason they can wrote something really profound it’s just because they experienced something that most normal people couldn’t experience.

My paper will focus on their lives and the background when they wrote those tales. Honestly, even in Chinese, it’s really hard for me to understand the most of the meanings of the tales. It’s just like Shakespeare’s play. They wrote them in ancient language. And every tale has a special meaning or a special experience.

My research questions will be :

1.In what kind of circumstance that made them who they were. And what happened to most of them when they became famous by that.

2.what exactly are the purposes for them to wrote those tales. what are they trying to tell the world.
