Our Trojan War was a very ambitious, intense and a little confusing. This show mixed Greek classic tragedy with modern war stories. To be honest, it was hard for me to keep up with everything happening on that stage. The transition’s confused me a lot as I’m not quite familiar with Greek mythologies or Achilles. As much as I know, Achilles was a Greek hero of the Trojan War.
The actors were really good with their acting. I didn’t know they were actually veterans that have served for our country before.
So I liked how the show began with soldiers walking quietly and then barging into the house of Muslim’s yelling and cursing at them. The ripped the place apart trying to find a reason of why they invaded that house but all they found was books. After that I was confused 75% of the time. What really confused me was the back and forth transitions from ancient Greek era to modern era. I wasn’t able to keep up with when the actors kept changing their characters due my lack of background in Greek mythologies. All I could say is that this show showed relevance between ancient Greek Mythology and today’s Military choices. I personally didn’t enjoy this show.
