Writing Project 1: CUNY 1969 OpEd

This teaching material was developed as a result of the CUNY 1969 Teach-in & Retreat that took place in Summer 2023. The assignment asks students to create one or more visual social media posts to create a collective class newspaper responding to issues relating to City College and CUNY in conversation with real students and teachers from the past, using the CUNY 1969 Project.

Faculty Information

Olivia Wood (she/her) is a PhD candidate in English at the Graduate Center, CUNY focusing on rhetoric & composition and LGBTQ studies. Her dissertation is on the identity rhetorics of bi+ people (that is, bisexual, pansexual, and people who use other multisexual labels). Olivia teaches composition as a lecturer at City College and serves as a union co-steward for the GC English department. She writes and edits for Left Voice.
