Evaluating the 1960s Student Movement @ CUNY & Beyond

This teaching material was developed as a result of the CUNY 1969 Teach-in that took place in Summer 2025. The assignment invites students to explore the Five Demands campaign at CUNY, anti-war protests across the country, and the fight for broader equality across higher education during this time.

Faculty Information

Victoria Stratis (they/them) is a librarian at Baruch College, where they also teach in the Information Studies minor. As a librarian and teacher, their pedagogical practice emphasizes an empowering model of education where students are able to take ownership of their education by critically evaluating information and questioning existing power structures.
