College students from around New York City gathered in Union Square Park on Feb. 14 to support pro-democracy demonstrations in Iran on the same day and to protest a crackdown by the government of Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadenijad, in which riot police beat demonstrators and fired tear gas at them.
