Milestones

Over the past couple of days I’ve been thinking that maybe I should narrow down the scope of  my interest for this project. So far I have though about topics ranging from bio printing meat, to 3d printed prosthetic’s, to 3d printed organs, DNA and 3D printing, and Smart Objects. I’m not sure how much knowledge there is about each of these topics, but I think the best thing for me would be to focus on one, so that I can learn everything there is to know about the topic.

I am really interested in learning more about Smart objects and what is being done today to innovate on the topic. I’m not sure what kind of application these kinds of objects will have on shaping the future, but I have a feeling that it might lead to something interesting.

here is an article that I found on the topic.

Learning objectives:

1. What do we already know about smart objects

2. What are some possible directions we are going towards in 15, 30, 100 years from now with smart objects?

3. How will 3D printing aid the development of this new technology?

4. What are some  practical application of smart objects?

5. Can these smart objects be mass produced or will they only be available for specialized markets?

6. Can I come up with a business model that centers around making this type of product available to people?

These are some of my goals now, I’m sure I’ll learn some more interesting things along the way that will fill my head up with more unanswered questions.

Dreaming big:

I don’t think smart objects like this will be possible anytime soon (…or ever)

but there’s nothing wrong with having an imagination :p

Enjoy the weekend everyone!!
