Hi! My name is Milosis, and I go by she/her pronouns. I love to binge watch tv shoes more than movies. I love to read books that are Sci-Fi or around that genre. I am currently a communication studies major and thinking about minoring in either Spanish or Spanish- English. 

I was born and raised half of my life in the Dominican Republic, until me and my mom came to live to the U.S. in 2009. I am bilingual I speak Spanish, and English. I am an only child and very family orientated, especially with my parents. Even though I enjoy my own alone time I love hanging out with my friends and making memories.  

At first, I may seem like a mean person from my face, but I am a genuinely nice and funny person. I am also a very caring person when it comes to my friends. Some people may describe me as outgoing and not shy, but I say I am a bit of both – Outgoing and Introvert. When I was in Highschool I had joined the student government club sophomore year all the way till junior year and junior year I was the grade representative. Even though I did not play any sports or tried out for any sports in Highschool, I love playing Volleyball for fun.

When you get to know and the more you do the first thing you will notice about me is that I am a highly organized person. I love being organized; it is something that my parents taught me growing up. I am a very punctual person when it comes to being at places at certain times. I sometimes like doing group work, but I prefer doing my alone work because my brain tends to think and work differently when it comes to group work (I like to take initiative and have an organized structure of the things). 

The picture below is a picture I took of a beach in the Dominican Republic las year. This picture reflects some aspect of my identity because every year we go to the Dominican Republic for the summer and every time I go, I always have an amazing time because not only and am I visiting family members, but I also enjoy being in the country I was born in. And visiting all the amazing places it has. 

My name is Yana, I go by they/them pronouns. I work at a juice/coffee shop, so if anybody wants I can make a little heart on your latte. I am currently a philosopher major, but also making my way towards discovering marketing field. 

In 2016, my family decided to move to the U.S., which has helped me discover my love for reading. I enjoy reading philosophical novels and autobiographies of influential historical figures. In addition to that, crocheting is something that brings me peace and joy. There is something about the consistency of the thread looping around itself. 

I try my best to help out my loved ones, and the people around me. I was part of the activism club during high school, where me and a couple of other students organized an “AP inequity” project. We were helping out students with low financial income status to pay off their exams, by providing them with different resources; as well as creating petitions. This project had a significant influence on who I am today, and introduced me to a lot of great people. 

My parents always wanted me to do some sort of physical activities: soccer, synchronized swimming, track and a bunch of other sports. I hated all of that. I am not really an active person, I am more passionate about art. Even though I do not know how to draw, I enjoy learning about it and come up with different creative drawings. In October, I will be helping out my friend with a photoshoot for her art school. I believe that art is a form of self expression that makes our world a beautiful place. 

This photo was taken during my trip to the city Kemerovo in Russia. I was visiting my grandmother.It was a three day train ride, where I got to spend all that time by myself.  I could still recall the peace anf happiness I felt on that train. 

The short story “ the first day” while reading it ,I had enjoyed how the author had written what she had seen around her and how she had described everything in a unique way that makes the reader picture the storyline. What I had noticed the most while reading would be the fact that it had elements of figurative language such as how it was a methopter when the narrative was describing her surrondings. Not to mention the strong use of imagery in which I had enjoyed the most. It had been a very impactful short story in which I had a connection with it as to the fact that I had a similar mom in which she had always wanted the best for me in growing up especially when it came to education. By that I was related to the main character ,The mom had demonstrated in the short story how she had been very determined and showed strong character traits in order for her daughter to go to the school that she had believed was the best for her daughter in which is admirable though the question i would ask is what had happened between the mother and the daughter?Was the school not the best?

My name is Gissele and my pronouns are she/ her . I love to read books in my free time espacily romance ,classics and novels.I am a passionate person in the career that i am forced on in which i am very excited about. I would like to describe myself as a determine person, When i put my mind into a taskI hope to Complete it to best my potential. I am an extravet and love to talk to people and meet new people. I always have an opinion when it I comes to reading and in articles and love to discus about it. Some hobbies that i have would be I that I paint, in oil, as well as acrylic paint. I would describe myself as a person that is trying to become more organize in the long-term of the years of College as well as out side. I am a natural leader ,by that i I help my peers in my team and well mange a difficult task that are brought up. Another way to describe myself is that I am creative when it comes to any area such as arts, writing and ideas. I would say that I had gained these character traits by the fact that i would always do arts and crafts when i was younger.
