On Monday, December 5th, instead of our regular class, you will be meeting with me in small groups to discuss your Analytical Research Papers and upcoming Presentations. These conferences are mandatory. Please note the following:
- Bring your most recent draft with you to our meeting.
- Many of you came to class with much less than a completed draft. If that was true for you, you still need to submit a proper draft. Please place the draft in your ENG2100 folder, give the file a name that makes clear that it is your ARP Draft, and email me letting me know it’s there. This must happen by 9 am on Monday at the very latest, so that I have time to read your draft before we meet.
- Before your scheduled conference, give some thought to your presentation, and be prepared to tell me what you plan to do to share your research (or some aspect of your research) with the class.
- These conferences are short in order for me to meet with everyone during our regularly scheduled class time. I am happy to meet with you individually (or in small groups) in addition to your scheduled group conference. If that’s something that you are interested in, please email me, so that we can find a time that works.
- If you didn’t speak to me about your draft Wednesday in class and would like some general feedback on your draft, please send me an email, and I will be happy to share some thoughts about your work in progress.
- I am here to help you finish the semester strong. Steady effort over these next few weeks will yield results that you can be proud of. Don’t be shy about asking for help.
