2) I didn’t really see Aciman’s character as tenacious or stubborn. He is emotionally attached to the places that he went to like Alexandria and Rome that’s why he doesn’t want to let go of the past. Even though he knows he should move on, he keeps associating places in New York with Alexandria and Rome.
3. I’m more in the middle with shadow cities being mourned upon and completely forgotten. It is not that easy to just let something go, nor is it easy to forget about it, especially if it’s important to you. However, I do feel as though you will never be able to move on if you keep mourning and trying to relive the past.
