Welcome to the last blog post of the semester! For this blog post, please read either or both articles in the file on Google Docs entitled “Professor_Corva’s_Articles”. The first piece is an interview with Wu Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah and the second piece is an interview with Tom Morello, best known for his work as guitarist the guitarist for Rage Against the Machine. Yes, I am old, but I am still cooler than you! If you don’t know who Wu Tang Clan or Rage Against the Machine is, get your Google on. All of you have to do for this post is share your critique of the articles. Your response can be as long as you’d like.

At the end of class on Tuesday, 4/21, I designated a podcast for everyone to listen to. Please listen to that podcast and offer a review of the podcast. Please focus more on what you felt the strong points of the podcast were, but also touch on one area in which the podcaster might want to improve a bit. Be kind in offering your constructive criticism!

Please read the this article, written by Baruch student Elsa Zhou, and discuss what you learned, what resonated with you, and any other constructive thoughts you might have about the piece. Your response should be at least four sentences long.

Please listen to Shila Roy’s podcast, which is in the “Final_(Recorded)_Podcasts” file on Google Docs, and provide a minimum four-sentence review of the podcast here.

Which parts (if any) of Wallace’s “This Is Water” speech resonated most with you? What parts (if any) did you feel were off-putting (something you didn’t really feel)? Your response should be at least four sentences long.

What is one part of Williams’ “The Catastrophe of Success” essay that resonated with you? What is one part that was difficult to understand? What made the “difficult” part difficult to understand? Your response should be at least four sentences.

Choose one part, reference or aspect of “Tragedy and the Common Man” by Arthur Miller that was difficult to understand and do some research (a Google search) to try to find information to help you to understand it better. In other words, maybe you didn’t know who Orestes (second paragraph) is. Briefly conduct some research to learn more about this character and then report your findings here. Conduct some brief research on Tennessee Williams, the author of The Glass Menagerie, and consider how the character of Tom may be influenced by Williams’ own life. Your response should be at least three sentences long.
