Blog Post #16: Podcast Review (2)

At the end of class on Tuesday, 4/21, I designated a podcast for everyone to listen to. Please listen to that podcast and offer a review of the podcast. Please focus more on what you felt the strong points of the podcast were, but also touch on one area in which the podcaster might want to improve a bit. Be kind in offering your constructive criticism!

  1. I was assigned to listen to Fatima’s podcast. The whole production was really smooth with no weird pause in between speaking points. It clearly shows how prepared she is. It is a really informative analysis of Tim Wise speech. I would appreciate it if she slows down just a bit. I felt overwhelmed by the fact thrown at me every sec. Amazing job on educating me on Tim’s political point of view, Fatima

  2. I listened to Amy’s podcast. I really like her choice of quotes and how she successfully analyzed a tragic hero. Having almost the same podcast content, I leaned things that we didn’t included in our podcast or think that she also haven’t include in hers. I like how everything was tied back to the concept of tragic hero, however, she need to pause a little more then continues the discussion. I also feel like she could change the tone for some parts to make it even more engaging, but nice work Amy.

  3. I was assigned to listen to Binta’s and Xinyu’s podcast. Listening to the podcast, I like how they opened their podcast with an audio clip from The Glass Menagerie. I also like how Binta uses different tones throughout the podcast which keeps me engaged. Having to do a podcast on the same topic, they shared the same thoughts as me but used different quotes for evidence, which I found interesting. I feel like Xinyu could speak a little more throughout the podcast but overall, the podcast was interesting to listen to and well done.

  4. I was assigned to listen to Jason, Aliya and Becky’s podcast. I like the quote they used it was really connected to the topic they were talking about. I also like how Jason introduced Becky and Aliya as guests(I thought they were all going to be host). I also like the fact that each and everyone of them has his time to shine, it was not messed up. I love your podcast it was really detailed and smooth.

  5. I was assigned to listen to Amy’s podcast. I really like how she begins the podcast, the music, and her tone is calm and relaxing. Even though we have the same topic I still learn for her podcast. I also like how she uses audio clips for the movie, by including those clips it makes it better for the audience to feel the character’s emotion. She also has a good analysis after her quotes. I really like her podcast, her choice of the quotes, nice job Amy.

  6. I listened to James podcast and I found it interesting because the background music at the beginning matches with topic about equal rights. I also liked how he added some sound effects in the middle of the podcast occasionally to make the podcast more relaxing. One strong aspect that I liked about James podcast is that he expressed his opinion very clearly about his topic. He talked about the changes that are happening today and compared it to back then in the 1900s. The podcast would be better if James could add a little more of his speaker’s audio and analyze it a bit more. Overall, I liked how this podcast went and enjoyed listening to it.

  7. I listened to Fatima’s podcast. I really liked the music, episodes/quotes she added during the podcast. The advertisement made me laugh and honestly, Fatima, I wish I had those glasses now and be in Hawaii or Peru! I liked the moment when you said the words “dude…” and later on laughed, which made the podcast even more natural.Overall, the podcast was very informative and interesting to listen. Just a quick suggestion is to speak a little bit slower. Nice job, Fatima!:)

  8. I liked Fatema’s tone in her podcast especially when she said the quote. The music was amazing. Also, the Advertisement made me laugh it was very interesting how she described it. I liked how her quotes perfectly described the situation of racism. I liked how Fatema expressed opinions based on racism. Everything was perfect Fatema, you did an amazing job.

  9. I choose to pick Sardor podcast not only it was excellent, but the topic was exciting. The background music got me laughing, and it reminded me of TMZ vibes, spilling the tea on synthetic voices. Sardor bro, you killed it. The advertisement was very entertaining. I was laughing throughout the whole podcast. I cannot get over when he said for Baruch pampers, “you don’t have to change it unless your baby tells you,” LMFAO. As far as content, it was great. He seems calm and intrigued. Fantastic work, Sardor!

  10. I listened to Henry’s podcast. I liked the beginning part of the podcast where he put a live speech of Patrick Henry. He is very throughout the podcast. It made it easy to understand. He used many clips of the speech and express his opinion about it very well. It looked like he was prepare because he didn’t stutter at all. Overall, I really liked his podcast. He did a very good job.
