Welcome to the last blog post of the semester! For this blog post, please read either or both articles in the file on Google Docs entitled “Professor_Corva’s_Articles”. The first piece is an interview with Wu Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah and the second piece is an interview with Tom Morello, best known for his work as guitarist the guitarist for Rage Against the Machine. Yes, I am old, but I am still cooler than you! If you don’t know who Wu Tang Clan or Rage Against the Machine is, get your Google on. All of you have to do for this post is share your critique of the articles. Your response can be as long as you’d like.

By reading the article on Wu tang, I felt Ghostface Killah answers were a bit off topic and sounded more like a street conversation not an interview. For example the question about educating children through music, he answer were more like a current situation of the words not the actual question.
Tom Morello however, explained his experience in high school which helped understand his aspirations. School wasn’t foe him at least and he wanted to find something bigger in the world of music (guitar). I like how he explained that he is no supporting violence to stop violence and therefore look up to Gandhi and Martin Luther King.
From reading the article Ghostface Killah, I feel like his answers weren’t that sincere. His answers consisted of a lot of “nah” and ” I don’t know”. It seemed to me as he wasn’t interested in being interviewed and he didn’t elaborate on his answers. He kept them really short unless it was about music, which was only one of the questions asked. Meanwhile, for Tom Morello, he went into details for his answers and he seemed polite through the whole thing. He has a story to tell for each question which makes the article interesting.
After I read an interview with Ghostface Killah, I had an impression that he probably was not interested in being interviewed and unfortunately I did not understand him much. For the question how exactly music changed, instead of “U know what I mean/sayin”, it would be more interesting to read about his story and facts he noticed in “changes” in order to understand what exactly his words meant.
In interview with Tom Morello, I noticed that he had a story for each question, which helped me to know his personality and some things about his life.
