This semester, I look forward and intend to being a better writer. Throughout my life, I have been a terrible writer in school. I did really bad in state tests, and barely passed the English regents. I did not even bother writing the SAT essay. I remember failing every single essay in my AP History class. During middle school,  I went to after-school tutoring to improve my writing, but I did not improve at all. I hope that I can improve my writing capabilities during this semester. In addition, maybe I can have a new perspective on music after this semester. I never really cared about listening to music. I’ve listened to songs from video games that I thought were pretty good.

You, as an instructor, can help me excel by helping me do better in writing. Maybe you can give detailed guidelines for writing the writing assignments. The grade bump when going to the writing center will be very useful, to get better grades and get the help I need when writing papers.

Time management was never my strong suit. I am a huge procrastinator, and I often forget to do assignments. I plan on getting a planner, so hopefully I can keep track of assignments and other responsibilities and do them on time.

From this course, I just hope to be a better writer and have a new appreciation for music.
