This creative remix is going to provide another way to remember and understand more about my essay. And i am not saying i didn’t learn so much when writing my essay, but i feel that when i create an instagram post or videos, i am able to talk in a normal way and not really formal, there becomes less pressure. That will lead me to really take my time and relax about explaining my findings. I was not even thinking about my creative remix and the time of my research paper, but luckily it has clicked easily because of how interesting I think my topic is. As of right now my goal is ten posts, mixed with videos and images, talking about what soul music really is and who are the artists that created a movement in soul and who are some present artists that were influenced by it. I would like a separate post about Kara Frazier, since she is the reason for my topic, and also two posts playing 50s songs and the other playing 60s songs. I started the outline of my posts. Basically what that means is under each post, i have what i am going to say or the topic i will speak about. I’m not sure how i am going to take the video yet. Should i hold the camera to my face, or should i place my phone in an upright position so i don’t need to hold anything. Decisions decisions. I know once I start recording I will find something that I like, I just have to experiment a little. I would prefer to do a few videos a day just because I know I have other finals to study for as well. I want to take a couple days for the videos. I already finished my short videos of the music, there are only about 4 songs in each i think, just because i wanted my audience to actually hear a good portion of the song and not just 5 seconds of it. That did end up taking a while because for some reason i couldn’t use my apple music and i had to buy the actual songs off itunes and i didn’t want to do that, so i ended up recording each song with my phone and created a file instead, and the quality still sounds good. So hopefully this weekend I begin with my videos, and everything from my essay will connect to my posts nicely.
